So, if you have LT CAI's, you should know about this issue.

When it rains, it pours, and your engine shuts off on you.

What are your fixes, ideas, suggestions on how to handle this issue?

I especially experience this with my fat 3 inch intakes, so its taking alot, and trying to suck in alot, ive had times where I "stalled" right on the road and had to pull over.

Have you given the hydro shields a try yet? Something like these, just need to confirm what size you need for your filters.

Pretty much the same size filters as mine, my inner flange is 3.5 inch. Mine have a little bit of slack but it fits snug at the base bc of the elastic. I picked up mine from advanced auto or pep boys I forgot. I just grabbed the spectre pre filter covers they were like 10 bucks each I think. Only thing they don't help with is obviously if the filters were submerged in water, but they repel alot of water while driving.

These are the exact ones i got. The fit a little baggy, but they work fine. I have had mine on for idk 6 months or 8 months. Never an issue with them, even with the stupid amount of snow we got in jersey this winter. If you do want ones that fit perfectly just get your filter size part number and see which aem one fits that specific part number. I would just use the spectre ones they serve the purpose and arent as pricey.
