Damn dude that sucks bro! I've sworn of that brand a long time ago. Recently gave them another chance with the gen3 and had to swear them off again.

They have great products on paper but their execution is never on par.

Their site says "STILLEN Nissan 350z, Nissan 370z, Infiniti G35 & Infiniti G37 Headers".

Also, "Installation should be done by a qualified mechanic with proper tools and a lift. This is not a backyard bolt on. These headers do not remove the cats, but are not 50 state legal, check your area's regulations. Complete the performance upgrade with STILLEN's new race pipes."

You have a G37 and you had them installed by a qualified mechanic. I'd tell them they need to send you a header that works and that they're paying for the reinstallation or you'll send the headers back and want your money back for the headers and uninstall. If they don't like either of those options let them know a lawyer will be involved.

Isn't there stillen rep on this site? For them to ask the vendor to refund you while it's their product that's defective is laughable.

stillens business practices are shoddy at best, that is why I don't buy or promote any of their products. I had g3's installed at their shop when I had my 370 and the install was horrible. they didn't even dremel out the rad support like they were supposed to, just cut most of the support out of the car. their SC system is a testament to their "quality" products. imo, they should refund you the cost of install and the headers to make things right, there no reason a vendor and customer should be out any money due to a crappy ill fitting product.

I'm going to call them back today and push for them to pay the labor to swap them. I even told them that, That It's not fair for Kyle or myself to pay for the R&R of a defective product. He could have cared less.

This reminds of when i was doing my header install the the HFC Z1 sent couldn't be used.they didn't offer any free overnight shipping on them for their screw up while my car sat at the shop..that's why i went elsewhere. i will never buy from them again.. i have a place i can get my parts usually cheaper and next day free shipping!!

So there's some news I just spoke to them again and he is going to see what he can do. To be honest I think they will make it right. He seemed like a pretty good guy,

From: Framingham Ma,
So looks like Stillen is going to make this right . I am working with Kyle on sending the defective header back and being reimbursed the install fee.

Great news!!! I've been following this saga for some time now.

I have an X sedan and was wanting headers. B first it was the Z1 fitment thing, then I though 'great' Stillen has 'em that'll fit, then your issues....

Has it been definitavely determined whether it was that particular header you got from Stillen or Stillen's not a good fitment in general for the X? I'm not really interested in shaving or swapping motor mounts for headers LOL.

Probably have to wait to see what the fitment is like for the replacement header...

So you took off the headers and went back to stock? I thought you had the stillness on still and made them work with the Z1 mounts? I missed something along the way I'm sure.

Good to hear that you're going to get reimbursed, please keep us posted if it doesn't work out that way.
