I guess that is good info. I wonder who else has poorly made/leaky Z1 HFC's?

with the Z1 headers you have to run DE flanges HFC or Test pipes from the 350z...

Got this from the description. I don't know if these were updated after your problem, Chuckie:

"Often the RTV sealing method or composite gasket for the 3 bolt flange from the manifold to the test pipe doesn't hold up over time due to extreme exhaust temperatures and can fail leading to irritating exhaust leaks and potential Check Engine Lights. To solve this potential problem Z1 has designed and produced our very own multilayer metal exhaust gasket for this application. This gasket is similar in construction to the manifold to turbo gaskets we have used for years on turbo applications. It has proven to be one of the strongest and most robust parts on any car we have used them on; these gaskets can be removed and reinstalled countless times without any problems. Now we include them in our kits, and make them available separately here."

+1 on Z1 gaskets.... they are great! Expensive but you only do it once.... and they are reusable!

that is not the problem I had with them. they were very poorly made..
these are what I got and was very upset they were not willing to ship out something on their dime!!
I had to overnight a set of berks extra 100 for overnight shipping as my car was at the shop getting
the headers put on.. so it delayed me another day.

Those were training parts at best. May have inadvertently been shipped. Did you contact Z1?

From: Framingham Ma,
WOW man those look like CRAP:\ Look like someone beat them , I wouldn't have used them either. Did you at least get you $$ back. for them not to ship on their dime.. I know that feels. I had the rotors wrap in one day and wanted me to pay to send them back, when I told them I would only do that for refund, they said I wouldn't get one. So the rotors are sitting in my basement :/.

Bought KNS rotors. Perfect so far.

while they did refund my money and they paid for the shipping back to them i would think any good company would have stepped up and offered overnight shipping on them!
after they refused i refused to buy anything else from them from this point forward!
my car was down another day and i had to pay for a hotel and buy HFC elsewhere.
so total i was out another 400$

Damn u didn't mention the hotel earlier. Sorry to hear. I was thinking if I don't go Z1 HFC and get it elsewhere, I'd at least purchase their gasket to see if it holds up like they say.

i get all my work done out of town and my guy could have finished up in 1 day..i'm not bashing Z1 in any way they make great products but when you send something out like this and don't offer up anything in return besides those should have never went out and we cant cover overnight shipping or anything while my car is sitting on the rack waiting for parts for another day i'm done..ill buy my parts elsewhere from now on..

Hi I am new. I currently have a custom exhaust with Tanabe mufflers. I want to get Z1 HFC but just concern if it might cause drone. Or is it better to just pay the extra for FI RHFC
