Reflect-A-Gold wrapping Stillen Gen 3's - How much tape?
Does anyone know roughly how much Reflect-A-Gold wrap I will need for wrapping Stillen Gen 3's? Would 2"x30' be enough? Thanks!

Thanks, I thought it was something like that but didn't know what size it was, there's multiple lengths of rolls. I think it was a 50' so 30' should be good but just looking for confirmation. I actually couldn't find a 50' roll for sale anywhere.
It's not for looks, it's the best heat rejection tape on the market. The color adds to the amount of heat reflected.

Computer Heat sinks are gold plated........so I would say thats a good start. However, are you gonna see/feel the difference no but thats the case with most mods.
OP, its better to have extra gold than not enough

I'm going to grab 30' for now, Stillens are off the car so no rush. Running winters tires now so I'll be driving slow until then.
It's basic physics man. This also isn't "normal" tape, it was built for this purpose. It's called Reflect-A-Gold
I doubt I will either, but the route that I take to my empty "fun" road has 6-7 stoplights back to back. I've touched the intakes before the run and they are fairly hot from all the idling. One of my favorite mods for the G35 was the Motordyne Aramid gasket, you could tell it reduced heat soak in instances like this. Just something for peace of mind

Heatsinks are copper, like the radiator cores. They are used because of the amount of heat they sink, copper just happens to be gold type color.
Just to update, you can get away with a single 2"x30' roll. I put down 322whp/275wtq on the dyno, which was really high considering all other G37/370z's put down about 305-~310whp with full bolt ons.
The tape keeps the piping far cooler, it never gets too hot to touch.
