Best sound

Hey everyone. I'm looking to buy a full exhaust soon, but not sure what to buy yet. I had a 03" G35 with stillen headers, invidia test pipes and HKS Tru dual exhaust with Ti burnt tips. I loved the way it sounded but some people said it was too loud. any ideas?

Best exhaust sound is all personal preference. The first best thing you could do is find local guys with exhaust and listen to it in person. The only other option is to basically watch videos which I don't really find all that accurate. Two most popular brand for exhaust around here I'd say are FI and Motordyne exhaust.

I spent a lot of time on youtube listening to exhaust as well. I don't think any of the clips really do the exhaust justice. But if I were basing it on those clips alone, I would lean towards Motordyne. I'm still on the stock exhaust myself though!

What sounds good to you personally is completely subjective and the next guy will hate it. However most agree that Motordyne sounds amazing and it is a little on the loud side.

Yeah cause most of the video's on there have wind noise or it's a camera phone.

Thats very true cause I was a member of the National G club and had the loudest G35 of the whole group and loved it. Half of them did too. Heard that Motordyne is pricey

Yeah i had that on my old G35 with headers and test pipes. Only bad part was; sometimes it became raspy at mid RPMS.

I love the MXP but don't get test pipes or high flow cats cause they make it raspy

So what else do you have done to your car? Do you have headers or what?
