@warrat yeah at first it was hanging so low when i shifted the flange on the exhaust scraped. found that i had the center muffler section flipped upside down. fixed that and all is better

The stamped "Motordyne Engineering" should face downward. At least mine does.

How do you fix the fitment issue with the ipl rear bumper? Is it just the 5 inch tips that cause the problem? Or the 4.5inch as well?

yeah thanks BB we figured that out the hard way lol. the style of flange used on this exhaust is extremely nice. it is just hard to adjust perfectly because of the flange style.

Ahhhh. I might have to do that then... Thanks!! Thanks for the better vid. I'll see if I can do a drive by vid tomorrow.

Pcasey, I hope you don't mind sharing our own reviews on your threas.

Anyway, I just drove > 350 miles today and it seems like the sweetspot for cruising is 70-80 mph on MT since the RPM sits right about 2.7-3k. Not sure what RPM on auto so can't comment on that. 60-65 on 6th gear is a bit louder (deeper tone but I don't count it as drone). I got an average of 26 mpg with 104 miles to empty on the tank. Take note, I did some high speed runs on hypothetical back roads. Dropped it to 4th and it definitely pulls better IMO.

You're not referring to the hemholtz canisters are you? Because my right faces up and left down. So does pcasey from his pics.

Edit. Got what you meant. Lol

the 4.5 inch tips do not require spacers. i would be willing to trade my 4.5 inch strait cut tips for a set of stainless 5 inch rolled tips if anyones intrested

I thought it was just me. The MD is stamped upside down on one side of mine as well, thought maybe it was just my set. I think my right side is upside down, I'd have to check.

I believe that's because we bought the first batch of "Limited Edition" models that will be valuable collectors items in the future.

But seriously I guess we should let Tony know so he can have the fabricator do it right in future batches.

I used the spacers that were provided. I didn't try installing the 4.5 tips but I'm guessing it's only with 5 inch tips. No big deal, everything went smoothly.
