Shabbo, can you clarify whether or not the exhaust you got was axle-back only or did it include the H-pipe?

Just saw this on a flyer at the dealership today! I think I am going to spring for it, but does anyone else sell this cheaper online? BTW I am assuming this works with even an 08 model even though its listed under 2010 accessories?

I'm curious, too - is the Infiniti sport muffler compatible with the 2008 g37?

Well I dont see why, dont think the exhaust has been changed at all through the 08-10 years, but I will let you know for sure by Friday. BTW if you are trying to buy this part in Houston, DO NOT go to the parts dept at Sewell North Houston Infiniti. The dbags over there wanted to charge me 1200 bucks for it. Better still was all the BS excuses they made when I pointed out the MSRP on the Infiniti Website. Basically what they were saying is that they would only order the part for me if they could rip me off, bunch of a$$hats! SW Infiniti ordered it for me for 789 + tax. I found it about 20 bucks cheaper online also.

Ok got it put on this afternoon, and it bolted right up. You guys were right about the sound The car sounds sooo much meaner when you get on the throttle. Not only is it deeper, but it has that burble from the previous gen. I drove an 06 coupe previously and the only thing I missed on my 08 was that awesome exhaust note. Well now its back and better! Driving under partial throttle, or cruising on the freeway, you cant even tell the difference between stock and new. The tips stick out a little bit more than stock but its not a bad look. The whole thing is polished SS and looks great. It doesnt have the Fujitsubo stamp like the imported ones. Definitely the way to go if you want something subtle, close to stock and full factory warranty.

Did you buy it at the dealership? Would you mind stating the part number and how much you paid? Canadian dealers say they have never heard of it. I'd love to see what it's worth up here.
I'm thinking that would sound incredible in a 'vert with the top down.

Yup, got it at Southwest Infiniti in Houston, $789+tax. Part number B0100-1NG26. I am sure ymmv, like I said in the post above idiots North Houston Infiniti wanted to charge me $1300+ for it. Just call around, I even found it online for 20 bucks cheaper but I didn't want to deal with the extra hassle.

Edit: The above is the part number for the coupe, I believe there is one specific to the convertible but the price is the same.

It looks very good and I want to hear how does it sound like
But isn't better to add more $ and get a REAL exhaust system (I mean if you really care about the exhaust note and want a deep & throaty sound)
Anyways I think it's a good deal for those who want a little upgrade in the note and a better look exhaust

Well everyone has their preference, like I said my goal was to have just a slightly more aggressive note while having the convenience of a factory warranty. I had my days when I was running test pipes and booming mufflers on big V8s, but now I prefer to keep it slightly more low key :-) and this is PERFECT for ME.

Hmm.. I'm confused. Did the 2008 have a sport muffler option? Because when I got my muffler replaced on the TSB, they said they installed a factory sport muffler as that is what it had installed. It does sound pretty nice to me...did they put something newer on??

I doubt the sport muffler is what they installed. An easy way to make sure is see if its fully polished. If not you just have the stock muffler.

No one has ever done a dyno with an axleback to my knowledge, although I think we've all seen enough to know that short of going FI there's nothing to write home about without adding a tune and even then..it's a short note..lol.

Also if I remember right this is a fairly quiet exhaust but perhaps louder then stock. One thing I would consider, the tanabe's have a dual exhaust look, sound great, cost the same and from the looks have better looking tips.
