Got my new muffler and...

...my car doesn't have the same rumble it had with the old one (eventhough it rattled on a cold start).

Any one else notice this? I think I would rather have the darn rattle. Maybe Santa will bring me a Borla in December. If anyone is running a Borla, let me know how it sounds.

thx

Borla makes the VQ sound different, there is one for sale by one of our older members Ceel.....something something

The stock exhaust will eventually break in and sound louder

i like the borla system.... it's nice and loud with HFC's and sounds mean. some people complain about rasp but i find it bearable. search some clips on youtube and have a listen for yourself. borla has had the most gains so far...

you live in round rock? i go to UT Austin... you could perhaps listen some day... have you checked out the local centexvq club in Austin?

Thanks all.

aliin - Yes I live in RR. And yes, I have been lurking the centexvq forum. I'll have to make it out to a meet one day.

I completely agree. I wish it was a bit louder/more aggressive like the G35 sounds (yes, there's a difference kids)......but I think the VQ sounds beautiful coming from the OEM exhaust. Just my opinion.

I agree too. When I first got the car, the first week or so I would hardly listen to the stereo just so I could listen to the purr of the engine. However, I do not get that same sound with the replacement exhaust.

Hopefully SOLISIMO is right about breaking the new exhaust in. I'll see.

you can get my megans they sound like stock except a little louder. It's like someone turned up the volume on a stock exhaust. No drone at crusing 50 or 60 but you can hear it if you drive by, then it's gone Lol.

The Stillen exhaust also sounds like OEM but with the volume turned up. I have the FI cat-back and it made it a lot deeper but still has the stock rumble/tone when you get above ~2K rpms. I love it. Can't hear it while cruising, but comes alive when you get on it.
