CALLING ALL G's With TEST PIPES

deciding whether or not to go with some test pipes and just had some questions...
1. Is there a drone while you cruise on 5th (auto) and is it really noticeable or not?
2. Are the gains there and do you smell fumes?
3. How loud does the car get?

thanks for the help

Can't remember which test pipes gan78mao is running with his MXP, but I do know his exhaust is loud. Sounds amazing, just loud.

I'm kinda in the same boat as SkyzDaL1m1T. I have exhaust and Intake already, but I'm toying with the idea of going HFC as well. But, I don't want my exhaust to get any louder, and I sure as HELL don't want any rasp. What are the most civilized HFC out there? Also, any HFC that don't lose any low to mid-range torque?

1. drone - yes and noticable from stock above 4000k rpm some rasp if you have no baffle in the pipes.
2. yes to gains, and yes to fumes (cats burn the fumes, without them you will have fumes no way around that)
3. with just test pipes it is louder , the only way to tell if it is for you is to put them on and hear it.

I have Berk Test Pipes and MXP exhaust, and a R2C intake. I have a video with sound in the media share section if you want to check it out.

1. No drone or possibly VERY little.
2. The gains are there. Have noticed slight hint of fumes sometimes.
3. On a cold start and during acceleration it gets VERY loud.

Give it some time to break in and trust me, you'll be looking for places to resonate it. My test pipes sounded really sweet at first. After like 1000 miles or even more, it started sounding real cheap (thanks to the rasp) that I was really considering putting the stock cats back on! till the day I had huge resonators custom fitted into the test pipes (check my signature for reviews). Those made a day & night difference.

If you're ordering test pipes, take it from Uncle Sam here lol, GET THEM RESONATED
