I have the Tanabe Medallion and then I installed the Motordyne XYY-pipe and ordered the Berk HFCs. So I'm in the same boat, need a mid-pipe to finish off the system. I've been in contact with Motordyne and they have plans to produce a mid-pipe (3") and based on the XYZ-pipe, I can say that they have an excellent product. How much interest does everyone have in motordyne?
I just installed the Tanabe myself today. Not easy if you don't have air gun. The bolts are tight as hell and it took me about 2 hours to carefully remove the old exhaust and put in the new. It is a bit louder than stock for sure. I am hoping the sound will decrease over time. For some reason, it does feel a bit better in power - maybe 3-5 hp perhaps from the butt dyno.

Dont worry, give it about 2 weeks and it will quite up some and become mucn more refined. Mine sounds much better now after break in.

The xyz-pipe is impressive just because of the workmanship and materials. But yeah once i got it installed and then with the straight pipe instead of the resonator (you can change these out pretty easily) it has a much more aggressive sound in combo with the tanabe. I like it, the fitment was excellent. I'm going with the Berk HFCs next (the group buy from HPAuto): https://www.myg37.com/forums/group-b...flow-cats.html
Definitely looking forward to getting a mid-pipe (hopefully from Motordyne, but I'll settle for Tanabe) because the OEM mid-pipe is like 2 inch vs 3" for the xyz-pipe, plus there are two resonators.

Look around how much they charge you. If the price range is good, go for it.
