Berk High Flow CATs!

Hey Everyone. For all of you that have been waiting to purchase a set of High Flow CATs (HFC's) for your ride, now is the time to buy! I've just arranged a Group Buy for the Berk Technology HFC's through Andy at HP Auto. The pricing is too low to post on the forum, so please send me or Andy (hpauto) a PM for pricing.

Based on my research, these are by far the highest quality, best fitting, and largest diameter high flow cats that are available for the VQ35HR and VQ37HR motors. These cats will fit on any 2007+ 350Z, 2007+ G35 Sedan, as well as the G37 Coupe & Sedan.

This group buy was originally posted on the g35Driver forum, but since these HFC's work on the VQ37HP engine, as well, then we figured we'd extend the group buy to the myG37 forum as well.

What makes the Berk HFC's stand out from the others?
#1. CEL's - Berk uses specially designed O2 Bungs that virtually eliminate those pesky CEL's that plague the other HFC designs.
#2. Piping - Berk uses full 2-1/2" diameter stainless steel piping. The other brands use 2-3/8" or smaller piping.
#3. Gaskets - Berk provides you with custom soft crush graphite gaskets. With the other brand they ask that you use silicone goop to glue the flanges together.
#4. Wide band O2 bungs - Berk provides you with two additional wide band O2 sensor ports that are in the correct position (pre-cat, and above the 3 o'clock postion). A port plug is included if you aren't going to use them.
#5. Support Brackets - This is a big one. The support brackets that Berk uses properly align your HFC's to the exact same location as stock for a perfect fitment every time, which also helps prevent cracking.
#6. ALWAYS IN STOCK. There is no waiting on these, ever.

Listed below are the terms for the group buy:

HP Auto will offer a forum special dicounted price that each buyer will initially pay. This price is significantly less than the $549 price listed on Berk's web-site. Once we get 5 orders, then the price will drop even lower, and if we can hit 10 orders, then we will get a rock bottom price on these awesome HFC's.

Everyone will start out by initially paying the special discounted price and based on how many orders HP Auto gets between now and 2-14-09 when this group buy closes, will determine the final group buy price. At which time HP Auto will refund everyones paypal acct for the difference between what they paid initially and the final group buy price. By doing it this way, everyone can get their parts sooner and you don't have to wait for other buyers to complete their purchases before you can get your new HFC's!
As I already mentioned, please PM me or Andy at HP Auto (his PM is hpauto) for the pricing and further information on how to make the purchase. These HFC's are in-stock and ready to ship, so there will be no waiting!

I encourage anyone that is interested to please add your name to the list. The more people we can get to buy, the cheaper we can get these. Please note that by adding your name you are in no way committed to buying these.

This thread might get shut down because of the lack of vendor status :/

and btw, how likely is it that this is a swap out that the average joe can do in his garage? I'm guessing the hardest part is getting the O2 sensors out in one piece? Anybody attempted swapping out cats??

true enough but with a new car you don't have to get smogged for a couple years, right?
