unless ur G is a pure race car id say leave em
LOL and this would be the same exact reason why I ADDED resonators to my setup, no more rasp and tones the sound down just a little.

But what I dont understand is, what is the difference between removing the resonators then adding test pipes?

- keep cats remove resonators
- test pipes keep resonators

Just curious, but has anyone just removed the muffler and replaced it with 3" pipes. I went to a exhaust shop and the guy said with resonators, converters and a muffler I could get a good sound by eliminating the muffler and replacing it with pipes from the CC aft. And he would put the stock tips on the pipes

It would IMO sound horrible, raspy and obnoxiously loud. You'd be going from a G37 to a riced out Fast and Furious civic.

wowsie, the greddy with the silencers off are pretty loud already, especially with the exhaust depot y pipe, I do that when I go to the track and it sounds nice and loud and fun for maybe a day or two. Have you ever heard how loud this thing gets in the morning when you are heating up the car? I swear my neighbors are ready to shoot me when I start the car in the morning with the silencers off. lol

When I put on the y-pipe when I had the greddy it quited down a bit. IT alos got rid of any rasp it had, and it sounded a lot smoother.
