I'm curious as to how that's "bitching." Name me a manufacturer that creates a car and puts anything (other than a grill or pusher fans) in front of the radiator...it goes against the principle of what a radiator is supposed to do.

I guess it's a matter of what you prefer: hydrolock or overheat lol

Just throwing in my $0.02.

I'd like to see what Stillen has to say about this, but IMO the tester's car should be 1) beyond the break in mileage, 2) COMPLETELY bone stock, 3) not have any affiliation with any vendor, manufacturer, or distributor in ANY way, 4) have access to a reputable dyno (Stillen should be able to specify the type of dyno), 4) Stillen should be allowed to specify the dyno testing to be done (number of runs, parameters, etc.).

As a bonus, it would be nice if they are functionally literate so that we can actually uunderstand the results posted. I am oficially NOT throwing my hat in the ring as I don't qualify for all these parameters.

car wont over heat tahts a fact...the car wont run any hotter then it did prior 2 installation...there are cars without a grill and do jsut fine and they are junk boxes...race mustangs or camaros have no grills up top period...

but whatever...thanks STILLEN for trying to put another product on the market to please our G37 community!

also to add i think neverbonestock has a great idea...hes already in the testing and dynoing of every intake out...not every car is gunna add the same power as well..so i hope every 1 dont get 2 excited if u only see 6hp or 16hp...either way good luck to whom ever is doin the testing..

just because I'm a newb here doesnt mean I don't know anything about cars. Remember this is stillen were talking about. (I hate their products) When I had my 350z they were the ones offering a supercharger that couldnt clear a stock hood so you had to replace your whole hood to use their supercharger. So bash away i can care less... Ive been around cars long enough to know an intake on a VQ motor wont give you 18 wheel horsepower. 18whp is about 25-27 crank horsepower

On a side note...my 350z had a injen cold air intake (VQ35DET) On the box it said 15 wheel horsepower gain. And I did a before and after dyno and didnt even get 1 horsepower. I did however get maybe 5-6 whp through the midrange but that was it.

People, if you don't like the Stillen or don't believe what they claim, how come you are still here and discussing about their product?

Seriously, if you're not interested, just leave and don't buy their stuff.

Like I posted earlier in the thread, I would be willing to do a 3rd party dyno with this intake.

quick questions here:
1. Wouldn't the splash guard reduce the air coming in from the grill.
2. What's holding the end part (piece connected to the filter) in place. Will it rattle or slip off.
3. Will there be less air to the radiator due to the piping and fitlers?
