JWT Installed with Videos
Guys, I just installed my JWT Pop Charger...Took a bit of time (couple hours for me lol) cause I had screwed some things in wrong etc...) I had bolted the bottom brackets of the heat shield on wrong, went looking for better socket wrenches, mixed up the short and long mounting brackets, etc etc. All in all, if I install another one I would probably have it done in about 45 minutes tops!
My impression is this...The sound is cool but like Bboy said it's got that deeper rumble. So if that muscley sound is what you like the JWT will suit you well! However if you want that distinct CAI noise and noise is your #1 priority, the Injen may still be a viable option. So far the JWT rumble reminds me of a muscley v-8. I kinda like it.
My butt-dyno doesn't feel any real power difference YET . I stress the yet because I plan on doing an ECU re-reset and driving like 50-100 hard miles, perhaps a mini roadtrip out to Ann Arbor and back, hit some twisties out there too!!!! I have not done an all out launch yet. Now this could be because the ECU hasn't learned yet, but I think I feel a slight loss in power at the very low end, say 1.5-3k range. This could be imaginary or me overcompensating for the Placebo effect that the rumble creates. I think I will be able to know for sure in a few days!
Right after the install, I promptly reset ECU with pedal pump method. I then let it idle for 10 minutes and then drove about 20-30 mixed hard and soft miles, local and highway.
I am going to update this thread with hood open, hood closed and drive-by and drive in car videos!!!! So watch out!!!

EDIT: VIDEOS BELOW!!! SO FAR JUST HOOD OPEN/CLOSED WITH NO LOAD & SOME IN CABIN WINDOWS OPEN/CLOSED DRIVING...OUTSIDE DRIVE-BYs COMING SOON!!!!
Video of JWT Installed and revving in garage, hood closed/open. For YouTube Click here

Video of some in-cabin rides, just semi spirited, windows up & closed. Roads were wet. For YouTube Click here.

Disclaimer:
^^^Excuse me for soundin ghey in the videos it was late OK! And a long, rainy day it was...and at the end of the garage vid, my mom came out and told me to pipe it down before the neighbours complain...she was talkin in Indian. Excuse that too, lol.

My butt-dyno doesn't feel any real power difference yet but I have not driven hard yet.....
Right after the install i promtply reset ECU with pedal pump method...then let it idle 10 mins.....then i drove 5 miles normal, 5 miles semi hard, and 5 miles hard....Do you guy think I should have driven more total miles or more normal miles? I was in a rush to hear the noise! lol....

How difficult is the install then if it took you a couple of hours?

Glad you got it done Detroit.
So have you drove it aggressively yet? I don't know how you drive but I usually accelerate quickly most if not all the time. I don't race but I will usually get up to the speed limit faster than most other cars.

Well Im about to go out for a 30 minute cruise in the rain...Should be good...Let my ECU have a little JWT 101...Im about to post up video now first of the stand still revs, hood open & closed!
Thanks Carolyn for the pointers, thanks to Bboy & Erastat too!!!
I hope my car breathes better for better MPG too!!! Wihful thinking perhaps...
About the power...I know my ECu hasn't learned yet but I feel like the low and mid range has either stayed the same or lost some. But lemme update that after my longer cruise!
Question - do u think the intake noise will smooth out and calm down or stay as loud as it initially is? I know intakes especially short ram'ish ones calm down after the first couple hundred miles or so....

LOL @ the video....
When you reset the ECU immediatly take the car out to redline... you want the car to learn aggressive habits !!
Please keep the videos coming...

haha, ya the hood down sounds great. I hate the sound of your car (this is a good thing). The new updated muffler on my car is sounding like a POS expecially know with the Intake. The updated muffler don't play well with HFCs. I need an exhaust...
