Senerio :

Intake alone 5hp, exhaust alone 15hp. Intake plus exhaust does not equal 20hp. It might be maybe 18hp etc .

Its not always a 1+1 = 2 senerio

Maybe the dyno factored in the fact it was a female driver, and with 14whp she might race off the side of the road I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm only joking. Anyways, why would Injen, with months of R&D create and design intakes that have little access to cold air? At least the Fujitas place the filters right in front of the stock intake ports allowing for optimal air flow at higher speeds. I;m still betting that with an ECU tune, the true beast of these intakes will be unlocked along with her other mods. Modding is like putting a puzzle together, having 1 piece isn't going to complete the picture. You need all the pieces to be complete


Those of you looking for the infamous 14whp intake should try buying a ECU chip from ebay, they are good for 40h.p., or maybe investing in a "tornado" insert for the intakes

Don't sell yourselves short guys. There's no reason to only hope for 8 to 10 hp on a stock G. They claimed 14. You paid for 14. Evildarkness pulled 9hp on a stock G with Fujitas intakes and those are 290 bucks. Don't compromise when spending this kind of cash for a product advertised as the ONLY intake on the market producing REAL gains!!! 4hp ain't ****. I'll fart twice while my G's getting dyno'd and get 2hp!

Yup. YOu can only get x amount of hp by opening up the front and the end . Which ever you put on first will usually yeild the more HP.

In a srt4 neon, i fyou put on an intake you get 1.5psi of boost. Or if you put on intercooler pipes you get 1.5 of boost. If you put both you only get 1.5psi of boost.

Injens error was teh words "up to."

K & N puts on their filters, "up to 10HP" etc.

If you put a filter on a 200hp car you will get 4hp etc. If you put that same filter on the same car but now its making 1000 hp, then yeah you will be at 10hp etc.

So yeah injen should read like this. INjen intake, up to 14whp!

yeah I'm amazed that people ae ripping this so much understanding that Carolyn was running an already modded G. Many people have stated many times and it has already been very well documented and substantiated that you won't yeild 1+1 results out of your mods on an already modded car.

if her car was stock I would be concerned. But until we see a stock vs Injen dyno the jury is still out!

Look, I understand her car isn't stock, I understand you can't stack mods and get 1+1 results, but what I don't understand is 4whp. I mean thats a HUGE drop, even on a modded car I would expect more than 4! You're telling me the intake was designed so specifically for a stock engine, that slightly increasing the exhaust flow will render the HP gains to 25% of the original claim? No way. I can understand cutting it in half or so, maybe if she saw 7hp with her car it would be better, but 4hp? Thats not right in my book. And even though it is common knowledge that your gains won't be as claimed when adding additional mods, this gain is so minimal compared to the original amount of 14whp that Injen should have a disclaimer. Here's Injens new add:

*** New Injen CAI for G37... 14whp!!!***
++if users car has HFC's or additional mods hp numbers will likely plummet into non existent range++
