I think this whole thread is fail!!! my *** dyno can tell the diff....also having blueslate pull on me at 120mph shows me that something is there...at least alot more than 4 horse.....after resetting the ecu you have to drive around for abit for the ecu to get used to the new mod and airfuel ratio mix if u think im wrong what ever....i belive this is one of the best bolt on mod so far so if you cancel good.....others that want it can get it sooner....i just seen 15 of them sitting at amplified motorsport ready to be shipped......anyway my JIC MAGIC coilovers are the greatest!!!! and also if i did a dyno run i would want to see the airfuel ratio because if its not mixing right u dont make power!!! threads a big fail

Nope, they had the bumper on with a 40 mph fan in front of my car... Nothing more nothing less...

Stick with a stock set-up and see what they get out of it... So that way it gains around the same amount of hp/tq.... I personally dont think my numbers were inflated IMO considering I baselined at ~280 hp like others have baselined on a Dynojet... And I saw these runs with my own eyes and can say that I never once saw them alter any kind of numbers or re-calibrate the dyno in between runs or anything... The runs were made on the same day under the same conditions... So are you calling me a liar and low-class dannbla? Im the one that handed them my key... I'm the one that came on here saying i saw the gains... Not Injen... One thing I don't do is lie bro, not online, not in person, not anywhere. I care about my character and would not sit here and tell the community something I was not sure of. I saw what I saw and let you guys know... One thing I do remember the folks at Injen saying is "We know guys are gonna dyno their cars, that's why we wanted to make sure our intake made decent power on a dyno before we just threw it out there"... You really think they didn't think this through?

I personally think everyone should wait for all the stock G's that are ordering this to see if their dyno shows as much of a gain as my dyno's did... That way we can compare this the right way... My Stock G37 w/Injen Intakes and another Stock G37 w/Injen Intakes... And if you want to narrow it down even more, compare a 6MT with mine (considering mine is a 6MT also, and the ECU's are different than a 5AT)... When they threw gmlee86's car on there, it made the same hp as mine did stock and made ~12 hp after the intake install, and he's a 5AT...

no not at all where in my post did you see me mention your name
I don't think you lied
it was directed at Injen
reread the post

Da Hashi, the thread is not a fail...well not exactly. The fail is the individuals on the forum that don't do before and after dynos so we know what different mods do and post that info. People are jumping on the JWT bandwagon and the truth is that we don't even know if that intake makes power or not. 5HP is the best I have seen from an independent dyno on an aftermarket intake. I can understand Pms1212's frustration though. I understand that people on here say you cannot except 14HP with all the other mods she has and I say that is true in a sense. This is an intake mod and not an exhaust so getting close to 14 seems like it should be possible. You don't add the HP gains for a HFC and a cat back together which makes sense because they are both part of the exhaust. If the Injens don't work as efficiently with less back pressure then that just seems bad to me. The other thing to keep in mind is that there was rumors that Injen was getting 20+ HP on this intake but scaled it back to 14HP to make it reliable from what I hear. So excepting about or close to 10HP from the Injen with exhaust mods seems like it should have been possible. Carolyn, Thank you for doing this dyno. No matter what these other people say, you did this forum a service by doing the dyno for this mod just like Max and others have done. Thank You!!!

Seems like alot of people had wishful thinking in regards to the intakes.. With basic bolt ons you get a little not alot.. If you find the right bolt on combos and a good ems to tune that will give you the most gains , thats the only way to do it right . Found out the expensive way with the 350z , but I learned . The only thing I would do to the G is hiflow cats a good exhaust and fi baby!!!!

Well said. That should be one thing we all agree on. The more info/independent dynos we have, the better.

Guys get off the FI bandwagon please. Looking to get 30 to 50 HP from bolt on should be possible. When you go FI, you are looking for 100+ HP. No one in this thread is looking to get 100+ HP from bolt ons. The new 370Z is going to have 350HP. It is the same engine that is in our car and nothing with the engine has changed. The only thing that will be different to get more power, IMO, is they retuned the ECU and other CUs. Sorry but getting 30 to 50HP with bolt ons IMO is possible.

To clarify: bolt ons means also an ECU tune as well.
