4whp.(FAIL) You are reading this correctly. If you need to rub your eyes and reread. Go ahead rub them. I am so pissed right now you can't even imagine.I would like to know where gamedog got his numbers from because I don't have those freakin numbers. For the amount of money that I and everyone else spent this is ridiculous. I know I am the first to post these numbers up, but I doubt very much that anyone else is going to get any more hp than me. I don't know about everyone else but ya think we were lied to. I do. So its up to everyone else if they are putting there CAI's in. All I can say is GOOD LUCK.........and what a waste of money.

Baseline from Saturday Dyno : 299.50

Todays numbers:

First Pull: 295.40
Second Pull: 303.94
Third Pull:L 301.40

Here is the dyno if you guys don't want to believe me. I have such a headache right now I can't even think straight.

All hype, no bite

myke

Alot of peeps are so fixated on that +15 hp number that they don't even stop to think about the entire powerband. If you look at gamedog's Injen dyno, they're claiming a little over 12 hp at peak (295 vs. 283), not 15. The 15 hp gain is a little before that. Yeah, the 12 peak hp is still quite a bit more than the 4 peak hp Carolyn got, but I'd really like to see the entire graph from her independent dyno to see what the gains were throughout the rest of the powerband.

So many people here are so focused on peak numbers, no one even thought to check out what the low-end and mid-range gains were.

Add to that the fact brought up by some of the more sensible members here that everyone's comparing an otherwise stock car to a car with other mods already. Say gamedog added an FI exhaust to his car and only got 5 more peak hp on the dyno, instead of the 11 they got on an otherwise stock G. Would people be "wanting their money back" on their exhausts now?

while thats true both gamdog and injen kept claiming 14hp. they did not say 14 throughout the curve. so its understandable why people are expecting 14 peak hp. that is all injen and gamdog talked about

any pics of the entire chart? im assuming the air/fuel ratio is way different. i dont know if there is any piggyback ecu for the g's yet, but if you got one and tuned the air/fuel im sure you'd be able to pull in those advertised 14whp gains easily with your added exhaust. what you failed to realize is that after throwing on your exhaust and intake, the air/fuel is probably way off from "optimal" power, you may be running rich or you may be running lean. tune your **** before you go blaming injen

+1 on needing an independent dyno that shows all data including throughout the entire powerband.

When I do my JWT review, I will post my Opinion why I didn't get the Injen. Injen is a good product but I am not so sure it will be good down the road and I will give my reasons in the review I do. This is still a good mod though especially for those that want to stay close to stock.

No, gamedog's dyno has been posted on these boards for a while now. The problem is, a lot of people never bothered to look at it closely enough and only wanna hear about peak hp numbers. Then these same people go ape$hit when someone posts peak numbers that are not to their liking without even asking to see the entire powerband.

This thread needs to be locked.

Reminds me of the early intake threads on G35 driver, intakes show little to no gains for N/A motors. Infiniti did a good job with the stock intakes, thats why aftermarket intakes show little gains.

...dyno would be helpful to prove this.

I agree, we need more dyno sheets from the ones that are doing this intake.
