Caution O2 sensor removal

Be careful when removing the O2 sensors. I had one that was extremely hard to get out. I used all the normal good mechanic procedures to no avail, got it half way out an noticed it was installed tilted to one side. Now it will not come out period! I'm taking the catalic converter with the improperly installed O2 sensor to the dealers and hoping they will see the problem as improperly installed at the factory. The other one was hard to get out also and when I inspected it the threads where gawled. Appears it was installed without using anti-seize compound. Lesson learned.

O2 sensor remover. do not use anything else. will likely mess up the thread. their cheap just go on ebay or something. and passenger side O2 is tighter than the driver side for GnZs

Soak it with PB blaster for a good 20 minutes before removing it. I did that and came out smooth.

You cant. Look at how long a O2 sensor is.

You can't fit a socket wrench around it. If you're planning to use a regular wrench, I'd think again. You'll more than likely to strip it.

If you have an autozone around you, you can rent the O2 remover tool for free.

It looks like this:
