Wanted to get an idea of how many OEM mufflers we've all gone through

Don't include aftermarket in the count, just ur OEM. I'm on my 5th muffler including the one that came with the car!

According to Kahboom, even the new build muffler with the new part # has the rattle. I've had it on my car for a few weeks, so lets see....

 

0, I am starting to accept that this is just the way it is and I plan on going aftermarket here soon so whatever.

 

im i the only one that hasnt had a faulty exhaust????!!!! but i will be goin after market. oh and btw Ahujadaddy u can really **** the dealer for that.

i do not know what rattles you guys are talking about. it does not rattle for me, i probably havent paying attention to it. the exhaust tone quites out the rattle.

My vote is not entirely correct, I haven't replaced my muffler yet, but it does rattle.

 

No rattle for me so far.

the last time i had it replaced santa monica service said they weren't going to replace it, but call the regonial infiniti service rep to come take a look, he came and replaced the muffler and made notes..... that was 3 weeks ago, the rattle is starting again.......... I might hold out until the new Z comes out then lemon this car.

 

ahh, so no one is on their sixth muffler yet? lol I wonder if KAHBOOM voted in this or some of the other original ppls like me with this rattle.

 

i just started hearing it and wow it sounds awful like a 1960's volvo or something

 

How about a "I havent replaced it yet but it does rattle" option.

 

I'm now on my 5th one and Infiniti is keepig track of how things are goign with this one to see if ther eare any issues in the near future.

This new one sounds a little more different than the most recent one prior to this one although they both hav ethe same updated part number. If feels like there is a little more low RPM backpressure from the newest install as well...

Here's hoping for the best ... we'll see
