G37 Exhaust Noise!

Is it just me or does the G37 exhaust sound really awful? I mean I think G35 Coupe had a way Sweeter Sound.

I asked many of my friends and my ex, all say that G37 sounds not that good.

Anyone would agree?

not rattle, I know what you mean, first edition cars had that. I mean just a sound when you accelerate not that nice.
Stillen exhaust makes so much better sound.

It depends.. some people like it. I prefer it to my two G35s... my friend who's a big bmw fan thinks it is a better sounding exhaust/engine as well.

So yeah.. they changed it. Anytime you change it, some people like it, some don't.

I remember I've seen a similar thread before.. yeah the exhaust note is different.. I agree that my previous 07' G35 sounds better and louder.. I really miss that whenever I see a G35 pass by. but I have to say G37 is a better car overall.

I completely agree about the lack of a pleasant sound from this car's exhaust. I had the Fujitsubo system on my 350GT and loved to drive around with the windows down.

Now that spring has arrived here in Nagoya thought I would hear more of the melody from the 3.7 liter with the windows down, but nothing really. And when I rev match for downshifting it sounds like there is an exhaust leak. Really disappointing. But I am refusing to buy an after market system, so guess I should stop bitching now.

Just my 2 yen

Not refusing, but we shouldn't be forced to buy an aftermarket exhaust just to correct either cronic problems or just for tone difference. Infiniti should of figured that out for us.

the exhaust note is not as solid as the G35s

Agreed, except the tone difference was deliberate.

The tone I don't mind, the exhaust rattle problem just kills me how they can't fix this permanently, makes me wonder why to even replace the mufflers to just do it again a month or two down the line. If I hear Fast Intentions one more time, I FREAKIN KNOW ITS AWESOME!

At the ripe old age of 34, I kinda like the fact that my G37 is quieter than my old G35. But I'm curious about the exhaust rattle problems. Which cars are affected? I got mine last month. It was built in Jan. if I'm not mistaken.
