gamedog, that's great news bout the injen catback. I will assume u will be rocking that to go along with your intake. I will certainly be going with both as soon as they come out. Injen FTW!!!!

G37 exhaust sounds like a big scooter engine!

I'm scared to cold-start the engine at midnight, because it sounds like a buzzsaw and the neighbours freak out!!

i personally hate the way it sounds...it too much "hey look at me". it's something a car like the Z should have.

btw-my Z sounded much better than my G....

My father-in-law sells Porsches and every time I take a ride in a base boxster I am crushed because the engine sounds so nice, especially as it revs. I know, I know, different car and all, but the G37/370GT is a GT coupe right? So a bit of exhaust noise would not be out of place in my book.

And the reason I refuse to consider an aftermarket exhaust is because I would have to get something outrageously loud to drown out the sound of my wife bitching about me spending more money on a car. Yes, they are the same the world over...
Do you think the Injen intake will open u the throttle body a little more for a more pleasing engine sound? I know it's not the same as the motor naturally being louder but still. I get kinda pissed cause on my Mom's Lexus IS250 I hear that refined motor noise that reminds me of a Bimmer 3-series and from the G I don't hear that. Does anyone know that sound Im talkin about? That refined motor whooshing sound you get WOT.

I went to them multiple times and they gave me an excuse about the temperature change condensing and expanding something inside the muffler. thats it.

I even got a new system: greddy ti-c, stillen cats, and exhaust depot y-pipe. All of this and i still have a rattle when i go from about 3000 to 1000 rpms (downshifting and slowing down quickly).

So i dont know what the deal is... i am getting another exhaust system later for my turbo

Even my Injen SRI at WOT is loud as HELL and I L-O-V-E it!!!! I love the looks people give me. The engine SOUNDS like a sports car when you add some new intakes. I think it makes people (at least here in East TN) think it's an exotic. I remember one guy just staring at my car while he was waiting at a red light and I was driving by.....I tapped the gas, heard the intakes growl, and he gave me the "damn, that sounds good" nod.

G37 + intakes FTGDMFW!!!!!!!!

He wasn't referring to the sound with this post. He was referring to exhaust rattle problems that were notorious on the 08 G37.
