These filters give you about the same as intakes aka 0, the only difference is that these are not loud and there is not as much heatsoak.

Not hating on the other intakes, but intake mods on an N/A car are mostly for sound, you can't expect any "real" hp.

thats not entirely true, really depends on how efficient the stock intake(s) is....like ours is pretty damn good and its gonna take some serious engineering to pull out more gains...i think Injen might be the only one worth it so far even though we dont know how much money it will be.

I have even read things about "long tube" intakes not giving great gains becuase the air has to to travel so far up to the throttle bodys.

But like you said, the stock G37 intakes are very efficient, and its hard to get a aftermarket intake to show gains.

yea the problem is with the long tubes, they are usually bent and that constricts air flow and with he short tubes its sucking in some serious HOT air. A true cold air intake is a great way to go. But many engine bays will not allow room for such product. ON my old TSX i had an Injen tha was engineered A+. It had one simple turn right down to in front of the wheel. I used a dremel and cut out the plastic grooves in my foglight duct and that allowed fresh air to pass to the filter and it really made a difference, especially in a nice 40 degree crisp day.
