k and n drop in filters

Just got my k and n drop i filters form west covina nissan. got them for $47 each. Justin was really trying hard to get these for me since their distributor was always out of stock. i popped them in and noticed they were a little hard to get in but was still able to put them on and drive without a hitch.

anyone get them for cheaper than $47 each?

Yeah, they were a tight fit, I think because they don't have the indentations on the rubber part that the oem's do. I've had panel k&n filters before, well one on one of my older cars, I don't remember it being like that.

Not really any more hp from it, I think my throttle response is maybe .05 better, maybe a little better gas mileage, but I wouldn't know because I put them in when right when I hit the break in mileage, sooooo...

yeah i was wondering if it was the rubber portion as well. i kept flipping the damn thing thinking i got it wrong...but after a bit of adjusting i got the clips to fasten. i've had k and n drop in on all my cars...my wife's TC, my beater 99honda civic, my sold 03 350Z, and now my G37...and all of them fit like a glove except for the G.

btw-what is all this talk about gains??? this is an oem re-usable drop in filter. not a set of cams or reflash...jezzzus...

I knew I wasn't going to go mod crazy on the G like I did with the Z. But any help with throttle response, help in the higher rpms, and help with gas mileage even at the tiniest bit is why I got them. That and having reusable filters.

Also, I had money that was burning a hole in my paypal account at the time.
