I just got my rattle the other day. Sounds gross and very notieable. You can deff tell if yours has it. Dealer is ordering a new one.

 

ya i'm over it. they replaced mine and it came back.... I am not going it again since i am going after market so i am just dealing with the noise until i get a new exhaust

 

Does the lemon law really apply to exhaust? Or is there something else?

 

they heard my noise again, dealership callin a regional rep or engineer or something to come analyze and take a look at the car... see what needs to be done.

when the rep comes, they will let me kno so i can drop my car off for a few days =\

 

Finally got infiniti on the phone(Supervisor from headqtrs)

They claim this is an unknown problem,(hey indicated to me they will send an engieneer to the dealer if it happens again)

I really don't believe them, is everyone else reporting this problem to Infiniti.

I will bug out if they give some b.s. story, I will not keep dealing with this same problem.

you and i are on same boat.. my G has problem on exhaust,window,,and roof..
exhaust replaced...window,, fixed roof...can't be fixed...iam trying to lemon this car...

 

This all sounds NUTS !!! When were these g's made ?

 

Mine was purchased Aug31, i think was built in June? cant rmbr now, will hafta check my quality inspection card or w/e that i found in the glove box.

My car had 38 miles on it when it rolled off the truck. Musta done some more testing on mine =\

 

I don't think my G has the issue, hence why I need a sound clip to see what you are all talking about.

 

I had the Exhaust replaced, rattle at the drivers door, fixed, car went on limp mode twice throwing off all the cells in the dash, dealer fixed reseting ecu, intellingent package stoped working with the headlights, got new headlights, so if problems keep on coming i'll probably lemon the car even tho i love it....

heh, that is a lot of problems..wish i had all that problem, .

 

i do not have exhaust rattle at all...just the louder raspier tone for the first minute or so on a cold start. however i wonder if the exhausts with this problem have already all surfaced. i guess in other words i am wondering if even those of us who have not had it so far, still have exhausts that are vulnerable to it and are just sitting there time ticking waiting to rattle when whatever it is triggers it.

any thoughts on those of us who havent been hit? I wonder if there really are just some defective ones or if all 08s are prone but some just more vulnerable to it?

 

I think it has something to do with ds mode.

high rpm's when car dowshifts, alot of pressure on the exhaust.

Muffler can't handle all that backpresure, it's only a matter of time.

PS I drive in ds mode alot.

anyway, hopefully they fix without the b.s.
