I have seen that before. Very interesting. When you are looking for performance it seems that there is always a trade off...
The other question that I would like answered is how much does an aftermarket air filter decrease the life of your engine?
In that post it said that the aftermarket air filters allow more dust particles to get into the engine and therefore in the oil. Can you offset this by changing your oil more often? If you can is it worth the increased cost of changing your oil more often for the minimal performance gain?
Let the debate continue......

Suppose the majority of the unfiltered airs enter into the each cylinder and small percentage of the them will get mixed with oils. Perhaps the frequent oil change will help certainly prolong your engine life.

My other debate on aftermarket intake system is that it's aluminum pipe will prone to more heat soaking therefore the temp will rise along with filter completely exposed under the hood (ex. Fujita's intake) and sucks in trapped hot air.

I like to see more people make educated decision on spending their money on performance parts rather than relying only on sounds and looks.

Yeah this seems like common sense to me. With numbers selling cars as much as they do "This new car has 330HP! You need to buy it more than that other car that only makes 300HP!", it seems a little silly to think that a major automaker wouldn't spend $50 to increase their numbers if that is all it would take.

LMAO!!!

These are with oiled filters. Just get non-oil filters for your intakes. I have been doing that for years. I never go K&N or with any brand with Oil filters. Apex'i Dry cone filters are the way to go. I think the fujita intakes are also non-oiled. If they are not, I will replace them with the Apex'i dry filters.

I don't know if Stillen uses dry cone filters or not.

Fujita's filters do not contain oil.
