Guys.. I'm coming from the Honda turbo-charging camp.. and just from the paper stats of the G37, I think it might be a challenge to boost this car. The compression ratio is pretty high (11:1 - basically what you'd see in most strictly NA car, although of course there are exceptions), and the stroke is also pretty long. As for the engine integrity (i.e. ringlands, pistons, rods, crank, tranny, etc), I don't think anyone will have any idea for awhile since the VQ is such a new engine. And no one really knows how VVEL or the new ECU will respond to boost - but when has that ever stopped any of us?!

Due to this, it seems like turbocharging would be the safer route, due to the ability to use an intercooler to cool the charge air to guard against pre-ig and detonation, as well as to avoid the inherent heat-soak of superchargers that'll drive up IATs. Nevertheless, a supercharger will give you faster response in useable daily-driving RPM ranges, but the turbo is capable of more top power.

EDIT: WHOOPS.. I thought he was asking whether to boost a G35 or to trade in and boost a G37.. ahh well I'll leave the post as is..

i'm very happy turbo'ing and being the first 2006 G35 6mt sedan to have a Turbonetics single turbo kit (unless someone else says they were)....

the G37 has such crazy electronics and a high compression that until someone comes w/ internals and a way to hack the OBD3 then no turbo for it yet (unless u want to blow up the motor quick)

You have an g35 sedan AT. To me, its an easy choice. Get the G37S 6MT and enjoy the ride. If you had a G35 Coupe that would be a tough choice.
