GB Bell Raceworks Rear Differential Brace
You can feel throttle reaction when driving a 7AT in manual mode. Throttle lag is the 7AT's reluctance to downshift when stepping on the throttle while in D.
Thank you for the information! That stinks, I only drive in DS so this brace won't be worth it at all unless I'm trying to protect the differential bushing 😂

You're on the list. That makes 15 members!
Oh hey, Bell told me this deal is only for USD shipment. If this is a problem for any of our Canadian friends, well, odds are you'll have to pay shipping. I think most of the people here are In the states, but...
Sorry bout that. After I get the promo code, I'll buy one myself and see how his shopping cart works.
More later, folks. And you've got between now and sometime later this morning before we close the group buy.

I've got the Z1 Brace on the way to test the fitment on the OEM unit. According to Jon at Z1, it will fit (https://www.myg37.com/forums/drivetr...ial-brace.html, Post #4) but I'll confirm. In the event anyone wishes to upgrade to a high capacity differential cover at a later date, they can get the Z1 brace vs. the OEM specific unit based on my findings. Brace will arrive today according to FedEx. Arrived at a FedEx location approx. one hour away this morning at 7am so I'll update ASAP so anyone in the group buy can make an informed decision.
What's up guys just in here to answer some questions I saw reading through the thread the main ones being the ease of install and the strength difference between the two braces.
First off great to see all of the interest in the product were happy to have the sedan crowd in for a group buy so thanks very much to those that got in and filled up the list in record time!
So on to some points to answer here, like stated previously the braces started out in the coupes prepared for the track and drifting and slowly evolved into a few different versions. We've done loads of testing and design work to fit pretty much every application of this diff and subframe and got it down to two different braces. Pertaining to strength difference between the two all I can say is they are both more then up to the task and only differ in cover options (and exhaust in the coupes). While the standard cover brace has two connection points to the subframe it is further away from the diff resulting in added bracing to cope with the loads applied to the diff on the passenger side. That being said it is no stronger or stiffer then the finned cover variant at all, just designed before Z1 got on board and wanted to see an option for their cover as well as some customers seeking the same. The standard cover brace uses the two 8mm bolt holes in the subframe just inside of the control arm mounts, the Z1 uses a large hole on the inside of the subframe with one 12mm bolt with a nut/washer/spacer combo to retain the same rigidity while allowing for enough room to fit the finned cover.
Next is the ease of installation. Being as these parts use factory holes already in the subframe they are 100% bolt in with no drilling or cutting required. The standard can be installed in just a few minutes from under the car only having to remove the cover bolts and loosely threading all the hardware before finally torquing them all down. The Z1 brace is also bolt in and requires a little more dexterity to get to the upper bolt and nut through the subframe. Some might find you have to looses the front diff bolts a little bit to allow enough room to get the longer cover bolts passed the rear portion of the subframe but doesn't require complete removal of the diff.
Any other questions please feel free to contact me here or via email at bellraceworks@gmail.com.
Ps. I'll be forwarding the group buy discount code here around lunch time when I get done welding up some new parts. Thanks guys! - Arthur.

From what I've seen (photos posted on this and the other thread about these braces), there shouldn't be any issues mounting the Z1 bracket to the OEM Diff Cover.
All that the "stand-off's" (tubes) are doing, is to allow the flat part to clear the finns on the Z1 Diff Cover.
