2012 Infiniti G37 – No power to multiple fuses, dash/A-C/audio dead, and ignitio
Hey everyone,
I’m hoping someone here might’ve run into something similar with their G37. I have a 2012 Infiniti G37, and I’ve been trying to track down a power issue that’s got me stumped.
I’ve attached pictures, but here’s what’s going on:
The top four 10A fuses on the driver-side interior fuse panel (circled in the photo) are not getting any power, even though the fuses themselves are good.
The dash isn’t working, the A/C doesn’t blow, and Bluetooth connects but won’t play music.
The car will not crank unless I insert the key fob into the key slot, and when I start it, it won’t turn off even when I press the start/stop button.
I ran the system diagnostic on the infotainment screen, and it came back with:
DSP Connection Error 50
CAN_COMM_CIRCUIT 0
DVD Mechanism Communication Error 50
Here’s what I’ve checked so far:
Pulled and inspected the BCM — no water damage found. Cleaned it and reinstalled it.
Checked all fuses I could find.
Verified the interior fuses themselves are good.
Also checked the fuse box beside the battery (under the hood) — and noticed that none of the fuses on the left side of that box are getting power either.
I’m starting to think the issue might be upstream, maybe a blown battery fuse link or a faulty ignition relay that’s not supplying power to those circuits.
Has anyone had something similar happen — no dash, A/C, or accessory power, plus ignition weirdness like the push start not shutting the engine off? Could a battery fuse link or IPDM fault cause all this?
Any advice, wiring tips, or ideas on where to test next would be super appreciated. 🙏
Did you miss the "Fusible Link" box hanging off the + terminal of the battery? These are like the Main breakers for everything and could explain why you've lost power to 1/2 of your systems. Here's an illustration:
So I replaced the link and still having the problem so I rechecked the fuse box by my battery and it’s not getting no power to it I don’t know what to do next maybe a ground? But I don’t where to look
The "Power Supply, Ground & Circuit Elements" Factory Service Manual for a 2012 sedan is here: https://www.nicoclub.com/service-man...F2012%2FPG.pdf
For the 2012 coupe it's here: https://www.nicoclub.com/service-man...F2012%2FPG.pdf
On those linked pages, scroll down below the "viewing window" and "Click here to download a copy". These books are kind of awkward to read but they contain all the information you should need to track down your issue.
In either case (sedan or coupe) Fuse D on the Fusible Link is what sends power to pin-2 of your IPDM. And Fuse E sends power to fuses 5-11 of your inside fuse block...
It's not easy to test because it's all sealed up, but the fusible link has several fuses - maybe even one on the underside right next to the battery+ terminal - and you should be able to confirm that all is well just by looking closely at each of them. These are big fuses and when they go there is an obvious burnt look.
If your IPDM is not getting + voltage on Pin-2 then you're getting very close to finding the fault. Check out the manual and let us know what you find.
