Question Locked out, again

Hey guys. I am locked out again.

2008 G37s

There is no key tumbler under the little cover panel to the right of the door pull. I take off that cover and there is another plastic cover underneath. Where on my car does the manual key in the key fob go????

There has to be a way in:?

Thank in advance
David

IIRC, the driver door had a exposed keyhole until 2010. Not to say the cover couldn't have been replaced (I did), but even then the driver-side door HAS to have a key cylinder. It comes that way from the factory.

Pics of you lock? If there truly isn't one there then someone, somehow, removed it.

I can not take off that black cover. It wants to break.

That is a passenger-side handle. Apparently, the previous owner- for whatever reason- replaced the door handle with a passenger-side unit rather than the correct driver-side handle. This is why there is no lock cylinder.

Best advice, find someone with a "slim jim" and see if they can open the door.

I assume the battery is dead?

Okay. thank you. That is the first explanation I've heard that makes sense. Thank you. Yes. Dead battery. I feel though haven't verified, is that the car has a slow drain on the battery somewhere.
