If you are comfortable with working on the car, you could pop off the lower dash panel to gain access to the keyport. The panel comes off fairly easy, just a few screws and pull - see the diagram below. Once the panel is off, you can disconnect and unscrew the the key port module.- remember to disconnect the car battery before doing anything -
Once the key port module is out of the car it will be easier to manipulate it to get the key out.
