Lost key fob… Need help

Ok, this is my first time ever posting on a thread but this is what happened. I own a 2008 g37 coupe. Lost my key fob after a night of drinking… still have my mechanical key attached to my lanyard but no fob…. Anyway so I call a company in Johnson city Tennessee called “keys in minutes” and this giant bag of f*** shows up and tried to clone my car key without the original fob to use. He tried numerous times and after awhile he just walks into my fees he and says I can’t do it and gives me the key fob he was trying to use and walks out.
I walk out to my g37 and the windows won’t roll up or down the Diagnostics port won’t connect to the car now and nothing happens at all when I push the button to try to turn on accessories… so now another company can’t program me a key bc their computer won’t connect with my diagnostic port to connect to the car and the first key guy is refusing to pay for anything… what tf do I do.

Call a well know locksmith make sure they have good reviews. I have done a key for the G37 before my brother is a locksmith. It literally should not take more than 10 minutes. Make sure they place a jump box on the battery because you need to have 13V of battery at all times or the key that is being programmed will lose connection with the immobilizer. I used the Autek to program the car key and it’s was straightforward. Or they can also do it using a Autopropad, and make sure that they place your VIN in the computer manually. There is a automatic detection that they can click on but it will not display the VIN so they must manually put it for it to work. Also don’t stress to much about the crappy key being programmed but not working they can delete all of the keys that is stored in the immobilizer.
Btw do you still see the car key symbol flashing in the dash? If so then it was never programmed make sure that light turns off.

Hi John, I suggest contacting Said Amir directly since his brother can offer advice that your standard locksmith will probably withhold. It looks like the first guy might have messed up the programming and tried to rig something and might have blown the fuse for the OBD diagnostic port.
Before you waste your time, try checking all of your fuses this will help the next locksmith with programming. Battery voltage is very important being that these cars will drain the battery while it's in the ON position quickly.

the red light with the key stays on, and when I did call another company they showed up and said that their computer only said cannot connect with car. I checked the obd fuse and it’s fine. The cigarette lighter is working also. No blown fuses and no power to my obd port. So they couldn’t help. I’m about to have to pay to tow it to Knoxville from greeneville bc if this dude. I’ve reset the ecu I’ve tried the mechanical in the door. I’ve touched the neg and positive together for five seconds … I can get the red light to go off after I put my key In the door but nothing else will happen it’s completely dead car. The windows won’t even roll up.

The red key light indicates that IVIS (Infiniti Vehicle Immobilizer System) has kicked in- basically your car is immobilized. Whatever the first guy did, he managed to erase all the iKey data. To my knowledge, only Nissan's proprietary software, CONSULT3, can be used to reset the Immobilizer, which will allow the iKeys to get reprogrammed and you back on the road.

Your best bet is to find a Nissan dealership- or a mechanic that specializes in Nissan- and have them reset the car. Whether you have any recourse against the first moron, I'm not sure. But there can be no doubt he screwed you/your car over.

That's exactly why you should have more than 1 fob. You can have up to 4 programmed at the same time. If you have a Batteries Plus Bulbs in your area they only charge $35 to program all 4 and $10 to cut the mechanical key.
