AC Blower motor?

Hi there. I have owned my G37 for a few months now and it has been my pride and joy However, today I noticed that the blower for the AC was not working. Cold air, but not being blown. I checked the fuses and the two 15 amp fuses on the bottom right for the blower were shot. So I replaced them and then immediately I saw smoke and smelled an electrical burning smell where the blower is underneath the glovebox. So I went and got a new motor and while I was still at the auto parts store, I pulled the old one down (all three screws). I noticed that when I started the car that the old motor spun the squirrel cage but then blew the fuse again. I replaced the fuses again and tried the new motor but it didn't spin. So I returned the new motor right there.

The thing that makes the most sense to me is maybe the wiring up to the connector. I saw another thread on here where it was damaged and looked like water damage. I have since fixed it, but I know that my car was doing the sunroom drain thing and filling up the floorboards. But the plug itself looks fine.

I am at a bit of a conundrum. When I bought the car, I bought an extended warranty on it. The deductible is pretty low ($250) but I called a guy who worked on a previous car and he didn't want to mess with the warranty but this is covered under the warranty. If someone can think of something simple to check I can do that, otherwise I guess I will just call a bigger shop and pay the deductible.

Thanks!
