Hi
I have an issue with my 2008 g37 coupe auto. Pressing the push start button once without pressing the brake pedal always starts the engine. As a result of this I am unable to enter the acc mode.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue . The car is also in limp mode unable to accelerate pass 3000 rpm

My guess is you have a failed brake pedal switch, or it's simply loose and is not being pushed, OR your brake pedal is not returning to the fully up position. So the car thinks you're pressing the pedal when you are not and your only options are engine start and engine shut down.

First try pulling the pedal back towards you with your toe and see if normal functions return. If that works, the brake pedal itself needs adjusting. If not, get under there and check the switches. There may be two, one for this signal to the BCM and one for the brake lights, I'm not sure. Are your brake lights working correctly?

 

My 2010 G37x is doing the same. It accelerates really slow but eventually gets speed. I made a mistake and put 87 in about 2 weeks ago. I've always ran 93. but I ended up in this small town that just had regular only🤦🏽‍♂️ I've cleaned the throttle body and performs a little better but not as normal. I did notice when turning corners it jerk so I feel like it gas related. I did top it off twice no change. There's no CEL showing. Also I noticed some weeks ago that it will start without pressing the brake but my brake lights work fine. Anybody experiencing this problem?
