Some things I cannot figure out on my New G and cannot find in the manual

I just got an 09 a couple weeks ago and having a hell of a time figuring a few things out.
I checked the manual and either I am blind or its not there.

1. How do I store favorite songs in Xm to tell me when the song is on so I can jump right to it?
I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I have the nav package if that makes a diff. My ex wife had this option in her 06 QX56, so I cannot imagine it would not be avail in a newer car?

2. I have noticed sometimes the climate control will do its own thing sometimes.
I do not have it set on auto, but it seems at times the blower will change from feet to feet and face on its own. Also seems the AC will go on at its leisure sometimes or change speeds.
Only thing I can figure is if the interior sensor feels the car is hotter than I set it for, it tries to adjust the temp with the AC and changing the blower speed and direction, however I thought this only happened in Auto Mode?

I had a similar issue with my IS300 where like the AC would just go on and off on its own like in the winter months. Not as extreme, but apparently was an issue on them. Just hoping I am overthinking this and is not a known Climate control issue

Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated!

1. not sure
2. the vent will change from bottom to top depending on the set temperature and outside temperature. Heat rises and cold sinks.

I found an old thread on here by one of my search criteria and said something about this only being avail in 10+ g's?

Does this sound right? My ex wife's 06 QX56 had this function. It would amaze me that something 3 yrs newer would not have this

When I bought my car and the dealer was giving me the walk through of everything during delivery I noticed the AC was on and it was like 40 degrees outside. I went to turn it off and he told me the compressor will automatically run to pull humidity out of the air to help with fogging.

I also noticed today my blower going from feet to feet and face right after I turned the temp down about 10 degrees. I just assumed it was to help make the temp change more immediately noticeable by blowing the cold air higher in the cab.

This is my first car with automatic climate control. I'm curious if other cars auto control works as intelligently as Infiniti's or are our cars top of class for that feature?

That's the thing though. It wasn't in auto mode. If so I would then understand.
I guess it tried to cool or heat appropriately on its own and manual isn't really manual?
