Permatex with radiator hose (leak)

So I have a leaking radiator hose. It’s the upper radiator hose where it connects to the radiator male outlet near the front passenger headlight.

The hoses were changed not too long ago and it seems to only leak during the winter months. Ive been filling the overflow tank to keep it at the middle level in the meantime.

im thinking of pulling the hose and using Permatex ( aviation form-a-gasket sealant liquid) to brush onto the male connection, get a new worm clip and see if that works. Im not experienced with much of this.

bad idea? Suggestions?

thank you in advance

Try to get a new worm clip first then go to the permatex
