So I've been having a small leak from my upper radiator hose. The leak seems to have been coming from where the hose is connected to the radiator. Well I changed the hose thinking that's what was causing the leak, so new hose and there's still a leak. I'm thinking the connector from the radiator to the hose must be damaged so I called the dealership to see if could just get that connector replaced and they said it's the whole radiator And the connector can't be swapped.

Has anyone had this issue and if so, how did you manage to get it fixed without having to replace the whole radiator?

 

Did you replace the hose with a OEM hose or some other cheap piece of crap?

Try a different clamp?

 

I did not use oem. I bought the hose at oreillys.

 

Make sure back on radiator that connects to the hose isn't cracked

 

are you using the original hose clamp? perhaps the clamp has lost its tension. this will happen to clamps. if you are using a screw clamp try tightening it some more. i am under the impression you are using a name brand hose like gates and not some piece of crap that may not be the correct size or length.

 

Replace the hose clamps and make sure the coolant pipe ends are clean.
