2013 G37X - 42k Service Questions
Hello,
I am about to leave for a 9 hour (each way) road trip on the last second as my Aunt is not doing too well. I have a 2013 G37X Sedan Automatic that seems to be running fine but is there any important service I should do before the trip? I bought it over the summer at 37k miles and it currently has 42.5k miles. The previous owner always took it to the dealership but looks like they only did oil changes, tire rotations, alignment etc. I never saw any fluid changes except brake service back in 2014.
Service I have done in the last 6 weeks:
- Synthetic Oil + Filter Change
- New Serpentine Belt
- New wiper blades (mine are streaking, they come in tomorrow)
- New Cabin Air Filter
- New Battery (Interstate from Costco)
When I did the oil change at dealer last month they suggested to replace power steering fluid during the free multi point inspection, which I figured I will do when weather gets warmer after the trip. Think that is Ok? I changed battery and cabin air filter on their recommendation my self to save money. Engine air filters they marked in middle of the green and red but did not recommend changing. I wonder if they are original air filters. The cabin air filter was filthy when I replaced it.
Appreciate any feedback as I want a safe trip as I am driving to upper US where it is cold.
Thank you!

Thanks for responding. Lug nuts are all torqued as I had a nail in tire other month. Tire pressure should be fine otherwise the TPMS light would be on no? Have everything needed including nail patch kit in trunk and portable battery jumper just in case.
Thanks!

Check tire pressure with a quality pressure gauge. Don't rely on air pumps at gas stations.
I recently purchased my own air pump on Amazon

Before any long trip I always check to make sure all the fluids are topped off (those accessible anyway). I jack up each axle & spin tires by hand to make sure there's no nails bulges, or other damage. Years ago found a nail this way. Bring your AAA card just in case.
Good luck.
Good luck.
