Engine Dying

This is odd, but I'm curious as to why.

Last Friday I parked in my doctor's office lot and when I came out 30 minutes later my car started and then died when it went to idle. It did this twice, but the third time I hit start I gave it a little gas after it started and everything after was fine. Fine for two days and then I had to go back on Monday and it did the same thing, although I recognized the situation and gave it some gas on the second startup. Startups have been fine for the last five days. I parked a few spots down the second time from the first, but in the same general area. No other problems with the car (other than the passenger door lock not working. Driver side had the same problem and was fixed last year.). Dealership just serviced it a three weeks ago. 2009 G37 X.

Any ideas?

Sounds like typical issue with dirty throttle body, had this happen 2 years ago till I cleaned both side, been on top of this every summer since.

Stachuu is correct.

Dirty throttle bodies will cause the car to start and die.
If you give it a little gas, the car will start fine, since that opens up the throttle just enough to prevent it from stalling.

Clean them or get them cleaned.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye on it and get that taken care of if this starts to occur more frequently.
