Hello All - recently my G has been fairly easy going for years, up until a few days ago. I noticed a black/brown (oily) substance under the rear of the car. It's right after the diff and before the muffler. Looks to be a bushing for the subframe mount, perhaps hydraulic fluid. After speaking with the dealer briefly without pictures it sounds like it's a fairly intensive job ($4k) to fix.

thats a leaking subframe bushing, its pretty common on these cars..

Its 4k from the dealer b/c they require replacing the entire subframe to fix it. (thats actually still very high as the subframe should only be about half that)

there a ton of aftermarket solutions for about $100.00 plus about 3-600 in labor to change jsut the bushing...
