Help Problems on cold weather.
Problems on cold weather.
Hi, i have a little problem here. This morning i drove somewhere with no problems at all, when i got back in my 2010 g37x i noticed that the intelligent key yellow light was on, nothing worked on the dash, no heated seats and gas pedal would not work.
I shut the car off for about 2 minutes and then when i started it back rpm was showing etc but there was a christmas tree in the dash. I shut it back off and restart it again and this time only the awd light and service engine were open. I drove back home. Note that this morning it is about -25 celsius outside so i thought that might come from that.
I would like to know what is up. Thanks.
PS: tried with 2 different keys and engine battery did not have any hard time starting.

Use a meter and test that battery. My car did exactly the same thing before completely dying today. Popped in a new battery and all was good but went a bit into panic mode since I was at work so it wasn't the most ideal location to have it happen.
but did your car start no problem when it did that? Because i have no problems to start it at all
See my post here: https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...ml#post4174439 . Let it run for 5-10 minutes and then when you restart it the lights should all be gone. Nissan/Infiniti seem to have problems at these kind of temperatures.
Yes. Yesterday morning my car fired up without a hiccup at the house. Drove 60 miles to work and attempted the idle re-learn once I was at work. At the 'start car' part of the sequence I was dead as a door nail. 7-8 volts was all my battery was showing.
It's never a bad idea to use either a battery tender or a battery warmer in extremely cold weather when the car sits overnight. The tender will keep the battery charge topped off and the warmer will obviously keep the battery warm, which also keeps the charge up. Cold temps reduce a battery's charge.
