can someone tell me whats up with fluctuating fuel gauge. its getting really annoying having to go to the gas station to find out that im not out of gas. and vice versa making feel gas is in the tank. not sure if its a fuel pump issue just trouble shooting right now. HELP!!!!!!

 

sounds like the sending unit may be going bad

 

Yeah my gauge shows no sign of this, definitely an issue on your car.

 

Fuel sending unit is about to go. Had this issue on a saab. It would work but would have moments that it would just have no reading of the fuel level. On fill up it would take forever for the needle to move up when it did work. One day it quit working altogether. Never did isolate how it went bad but I had a feeling that over filling the gas tank contributed to the failure.

I did replace the unit myself. Was not that bad of a job just make sure that the fuel tank is about close to empty.
