No one has said that, don't let the facts get in the way of a good narrative.

I went to a local Nissan dealership for an oil change and they told me they weren't allowed to work on Infiniti cars. I had to go to the Infiniti dealership about 12 miles away. I ended up just doing it myself.

Either something has changed or they are jerking you around, my guess is the latter.

^ were they referring to warranty work? or customer paid service? they are correct for warranty work. that has to be done at an Infiniti dealer. but if you were paying out of pocket for service then of course they are "allowed". or maybe they just didn't like the cut of your jib.

Seems royal purple is a good choice and I can probably get it from walmart. Any suggestions on oil filter, I am thinking of a K&N.

I will ask the Nissan dealer about maintenance work tomorrow or the other day.

its whatever they have in the bulk oil container that they have contract with. every dealer is different. it can be anything from castrol, valvoline, mobil, kendall, to 76. if you are so worried about the oil they are using you can bring your own oil and let them put that in.

I go to Nissan to buy my parts and fluids. Funny thing is that the Nissan dealership is next door to an Infiniti dealership, owned by the same company but Nissan has better parts coupons.

Nissan dealer for infiniti Service

I go to my local Nissan Dealer for my 2012 G37 XS Coupe because they are a Nissan certified GTR service dealer...if they can work properly on a GTR then surely they can get it right for my car.

Everyone knows that oil at infiniti dealers come from ground unicorns and gnomes. Why would you go anywhere else.

Not for service, but when I recently wanted buy a used G37 I made the mistake of trying to buy one from a Nissan dealership. After test driving a g37 coupe there, and I gave an all cash offer for the listed price (i didn't even negotiate down), they refused to sell it to me for list, jacked up the price for cash. Apparently they only want to sell to suckers willing to sign for a bad financing deal. The whole dealership gave off a ghetto vibe despite being in wealthy suburb of nyc.

Shortly thereafter, went to an Infiniti dealer, got my CPO 2013 G37 IPL convertible for a sweet cash price (27k total out the door). When I told them I was paying in cash, they even cut the already low price even more without me even negotiating.
