Change of clutch
Telcoman
i replaced mine at 43k but only because the dealer had dropped my gearbox to replace the CSC under warranty. my original clutch still had well over 65% friction material remaining so i definitely could have held off. i took advantage of the free labor of having them drop the gearbox, so all i paid was the parts cost. i bought the parts online and supplied them to the dealer, no way was i about to pay dealer part costs.
at 43k with ~65% material remaining, by rights my original clutch should have lasted 120k+ miles. i use my car for 95% city commutes, with hills.

60k miles is 60 thousand miles
120k miles is 120,000 thousand miles

Regarding the boy is not surprising, otherwise it would not be a good teacher
