Coolant levels
Coolant levels
What is the appropriate level for your engine coolant level...should it be at min...max..in between?
I'm concerned about my level because it's at min...which the tech at nissan said was norMal..just want to double check that he is being accurate. Had checked for leaks and all was well.

Basically, when hot enough to open the spring in the cap, the coolant overflows into the tank...as it cools, it sucks coolant back into the system until the cap is cool enough to close. So at MIN when cool is correct.
I SEE thank you Flak (and everyone else) for the explanation. Sorry if that was a kind of stupid question guys I am just paranoid about the car to a degree haha its my baby. I have heard and been through alot of horror stories about dealerships and allowing the wrong fluid levels...end up toasting the car. ( Always make sure your Audi dealership puts ALL the necessary transmission fluid in your car lol)

I prefer it to be at the full cold line. The goal is to never have the system suck air in when cooling down. Same with oil levels - anywhere between the low/full mark is acceptable but full is better than low IMO
My Audi was generally between min and max so it caught me a little off guard when I was told that min was normal lol
