G37X Sedan 2nd Alignment in two weeks

Hello Guys,

Wanted to see if anyone could provide some insight. My car is a 2012 AWD Sedan factory 17" wheels with newer tires (for now). Brought to a local Pepboys on 1/2/14 for alignment, balance and rotation. Was noticing a slight vibration at speeds in the driver side left and handling was off. Picked the car up and it seemed different, handed a packet of papers however wasn't provided with an alignment document. Over the next week I noticed the steering wheel was not straight and handling still didn't feel correct.

Brought the car back on 1/16/14 and brought up my concerns with the manager. They asked if I had hit anything, which I had not (only driven @200 miles in the time). Manager said the alignment numbers were completely off from what they had in their system from the first time. I went back to the store and they provided me with the print out from 1/2/14 (first time I had seen it) and a print out from 1/16/14. Basically they said they aligned within specs and somehow within 2 weeks the car was completely out of spec again. I'm sceptical that they even performed an alignment the first time, maybe they just rotated the tires.

All bolts were tight on suspension, manager said the back driver side wheel must have a bend in it as it was wobbling on balance machine. I drove the car and immediately noticed a difference, felt much better. However when I took it on the interstate and went above 60mph I start feeling a bad vibration in steering wheel, much worse than before.

My question is this, how could a bent wheel on the front driver side vibrate the steering wheel worse on the back after alignment? or is there something else in my suspension that could be causing these alignment issues, assuming that they did align the first time and just weren't lazy. Bushings, shocks? Car has 40k miles on it, suspension and wheels are stock, rotors are aftermarket but have had no issues with them for a year.

That was probably a mistake.

Get a second opinion preferably from a dealer.

If Pep Boys did not do a proper job, contact your credit card company and request a charge back refund on your credit card.

However a bent or damaged rim can cause your problem.
