Question How long should the battery last with stereo on?

This question is in reguards for a a Stock OEM G37 without electronic mods.

Does anybody have the expected time that the battery should last in the car if you playing light music? Or if the car is on full power) mode without the engine being on?

Should you be able to play music at medium/low volumne for like 30min and still be able to star the car?

Depends on your battery age but I think 30 mins should be fine. There's no scientific way to calculate this.

That depends on how strong your battery is and how much load you're putting on it. There's no standard amount of time that it takes to drain the battery but that's exactly what will happen if you try to find out. Sounds like somebody better pack a set of jumper cables.

I'm think stock OEM battery, stock everything setup. I was hopping someone would know a general ball park answer.

I asked that question to see if it can determine if i have a weak old battery or not. I just went ahead a Schumacher BT-100 battery load tester off amazon to play with.

My battery seems to be okay if i run & drive it... But if I leave the car audio on for like 15-30min, i can't start up the car anymore.

That just happened to mine at 56,000 miles, it was fine as long as I didnt leave the audio on for over 10 minutes....got frustrated, took it to the dealer and they threw me a new one in under warranty. No complaints from me.

Funny I just saw this thread. My battery almost died today after just a short time listening to the radio.

Yup looks like my battery is about doom. Played with the Schumacher BT-100, and it shows i'm only pushing out ~400CCA while a good battery was pushing out ~700CCA. Going to force a charge, then re-test, and most likely going shopping .

I'm currently eyeballing the Duralast Platinum 35-AGM, anybody have any opinion? Can i go with a bigger size?

After a hour charge, old battery jumped to 600, but quickly dropped to 400CCA after a drive. I call this dying.

So I just swapped with a Duralast Platinum 34R-AGM (bigger then 35-AGM), fits better then the OEM battery(more snuggle). Battery cracking out 900CCA, perfect
