Battery Running Down

Good afternoon everyone, yesterday I had a most embarrassing and inconvenient situation happen. I left work to go to a meeting that I was 30 minutes early for. I decided to wait in my car and listen to some music while I waited for others to arrive. I was listening to music without the car running, and during that time span my battery drained down enough so that the car wouldn't start. I had to ask people after the meeting for a set of jumper cables so that I could get the car started and drive home. Is this normal for a G?

I was on my driveway from work. I must have left my ignition to the ON position (without the engine started). Went back out 30 to 40 min later, it would not start. Luckily I was home. But in your situation, walking out to a nice car after a meeting and asking for a jump, is slightly embarrassing.

So now, any time I set it my car, I either have the engine running or everything is off.

OK well at least I feel a little better about it, I guess that no matter how nice a car is they each have little quirks. At least that is one thing that I won't ever do again-LOL!!!

Same thing happen to me 6 month after buying my 09 g37xs, I met a girl at the Tim Horton to talk and left the radio on and 30 min after I had to go ask the poser that were hanging out in the parking lot for help "embarrassing moment". the next day I called the dealership told them about it and there response was if it happen again come see us and guess what happen again the battery died and had to boost it, brought it back to the dealership and they replace the battery for a new one.

Couple days ago I bought a 400AMP portable jump starter from wal-mart for $40. It started my car from a completely dead battery in under 2 minutes. I'm leaving it in the car from now on so I never get stuck looking for someone to help me.

The battery on the Corvette that it started was so dead it wouldn't even play the radio. I was at a car show and overheard a couple of Corvette people talking about getting Triple A. After it started the car two of the Corvette people ordered the unit online through Amazon. This is one handy unit.

Keep in mind the typical battery lasts only 5-6 years before it needs replacement.

^My battery was 3 months old and it died twice. Once in my garage and once at a mall. The dealership told me unless you drive over 20 miles, the battery does not charge.
