Power steering problem

Hey guys I have an 11 g37 convertible with 11k miles. Lately the steering has been really hard to turn , especially making a uturn, it's almost impossible to turn the wheel. I noticed the fluid was alil bit low so I went to a nissan dealer and got Nissan power steering fluid. Topped it off hoping it would correct my problem, but nothing ! The steering wheel is still hard while turning. Now guys I have warranty on my car but I do have a few mods like lowering springs , full cat back and test pipes. I need to bring it to the dealer now cause I have a feeling it's the power steering pump . Should I return anything back to stock so they can't blame any of my mods which dealers love to do. ? Also is there anything else I can try before bringing it back to the dealer .

Please all feedback and suggestions welcomed.

You need a mod friendly dealer.
Id call a few dealers & ask if its an issue before doing any removal & reinstall.
If your test pipes are near the steering knuckle, they may blame the install on the steering issues.
You dont want them to label the car as modded, this is an extra hassle.

I ended up with a new rack & pinion / steering column under warranty & was heavy modded.

But my car was 5 years old & had 50k on the car.
Maybe your rack went bad early?

Thanks risky guy , I called a few dealers by me and all of them mostly said you have to bring in the car to look at first. I just really don't wanna make the drive out to a dealer and for them to turn me down because of the mods I have, although I believe the mods I have , have nothing to do with my power steering problem but just in case. (I already had my local dealer blame my rattling convertible problems on my lowering springs )

Can anyone reccommend a mod friendly dealer close or nearby ny/nj area?

Update :

So guys dropped my car off at the dealer , and sure enough the power steering pump went , kinda upset the car only has 11 thousands miles on it, and the power steering pump went bad already, but everything is covered under warranty , dealer gave me no problems this time considering the car is modded.

Ahh. That sucks man, I've got less than 5,000 miles on my G and I'm experiencing the same symptoms. I have a feeling my pump is on it's way out as well. Any way for me to confirm this?
