Transmission & Differential Fluid change

Read the DYI and few post in regards this question but i need some opinions.
Car is a 2008 with 29,860 right now car sits a lot which is why the low mileage I got it new. Babied always, no hard driving (well a few times lol).

Do I really need to change these fluids now at 30K or no? Would it help?

Thanks in advance guys!!

Absolutely need to? Probably not. Would it help? It wont likely improve your performance any unless you're having problems but I certainly wont' hurt. If you were to change it once with a quality synthetic you'd really never need to do it again.

I'd do it.

I used Amsoil last time. I notice a little bit of notchiness only when it's really cold out, which is rare here. So I'm about to do it again and use Redline this time.

This for the MT:
Red Line Synthetic Oil - Gear Oil for Manual Transmissions - MT-85 75W85 GL-4 Gear Oil

This for the diff:
Red Line Synthetic Oil - Gear Oil for Differentials - 75W90 GL-5 Gear Oil

There's an application guide at the top of the page. It shows that both the 5 AT and 7AT use this:
Red Line Synthetic Oil - Gear Oil for Manual Transmissions - D4 ATF

I'm approaching 90K and will do both again. Probably the last time.

I'm not sure which gets more abuse, I'd guess transmission.

the nissan matic J (or was it S, i forget) is heavily recommended for the auto trans; it's stated in the fsm and a commonly used in the g35/350z community.

i did mine at 30k and will do again at 60k, though it's common to start at 60k and every 30k after.

I just changed my trans and diff today at 60k miles. First time either have been changed. I put the Nissan Matic S in with a simple drain and fill. I'll do another in 5k miles or so. The matic s is cheap enough i dont see why you wouldnt want to use the oem stuff that you know works. Transmission ran fine before. The fluid was dirty as expected, but it does feel better after just putting in a fresh 3.5 quarts. I put Motul 300LS in the rear diff and the car def feels peppier from a stop. The rear diff oil was dirty, but thats to be expected after 60k miles haha.

So this will be your third change on both fluids? Did you personally look at the conditions of the fluids? I would probably use the redline fluids you recommended a few posts before. Are the redline fluids good from your experiences? Sorry about all the questions but I'm going TT soon, so want to be 100% sure

So it seems like you were overdue, and it appears that going 60k, is probably not good for the car. Has anyone else gone over 30k before changing the trans and diff oils?

Thanks for all your help!!!
