I installed a Fumoto drain valve so I don't have to mess with the crush washer every oil change. The Fumoto valve works great - no fuss, no muss. And it's protected by the plastic cover, so I don't worry about it.

The Fumoto looks great. Do you have the N version?

I'm getting a complimentary synthetic oil (nissan ester?) change with my purchase. Maybe I'll just ask them for the parts and do it myself instead.

In the last 20 years of owning various cars/bikes, I've never stripped an oil plug, nor had it leak because it wasn't tight enough. I shudder to think of what may happen when its at the dealer. Also, FWIW, I never used a torque wrench on a drain plug either. Good and snug is the right torque IMO.

Rhino Ramps

Why not have both? Ramps are only like 45 bucks.
The only problem I have had with Rhino ramps is that they slide on my garage surface when I try to drive on to them. So I had to improvise and use the small ledge that transitions my driveway into the garage and butt the ramps against this ledge.

^^Age old question.

No car *needs* synthetic oil, but under certain conditions (extreme) synth is better than dino.

I just purchased the N version, haven't installed it yet. I'll do that at the next OC.

That's exactly what I do. It works perfectly.

Using the emergency jack is an accident waiting to happen.

Using hydraulic floor jacks is much safer along with jack stands
